Putting school aside, for the past couple of weeks I've been shopping for christmas presents >_<... Also I've been going to dance practices. I guess I'd better explain about that one hey?
When filipino girls turn 18 they have a HUGE birthday party celebration. The party has it all, a formal dinner with a program and everything! It just so happens that in the program the birthday girl and a group of people she has selected perform for the guests (they dance). Thats me right there, I get to dance in front of a big audience. That is what the dance practices are all about. We do 3 dances throughout the night. The first one is the waltz, this is how the birthday girl (or debutante as she is called for the night) is introduced. We have a fancy entrance with our partners and she comes last. and then in the middle of the night we do a salsa dance. And for the big finale right before we get into actual dancing (with the dj's music) we do a modern dance. Right now we are practicing for the waltz. lol, we actually have a practice right now this very minute but I couldn't go cuz its my brother's birthday today. Anyways thats whats new with me so far. How bout you?
